Hi guys and gals, so as you know im spending all my time resting my legs after going to the hospital last week and preparing for surgery (whenever that may be).......if you ain't heard about all this head over to my Diary Blog

so i've been spending the majority of my time sketching, reading animation books, practicing Blender and Maya and looking around the net for animations that make me smile :)

so i thought i would share the ones i have found that you guys might like.......

This is an animation that i came across the other day while looking over Cartoon Brew (btw that's a great site you should check out), its called Hezarfen and is the story of a Turkish historical figure who attempted to preform the first human flight, from the top of a Galata Tower.

i must say that the moment i watched this i fell in love with the art style, it was very reminiscent of other french animations such as Oktapodi.

These two animations where shown to me by Adam and i just have to share them with you guys.

The first is called Salesman Pete and the Amazing Stone from Outer Space!, it has a wonderful art direction and character animation that makes this little film quite fun to watch.

The movie was directed by three former student of Supinfocom who dropped out of the school before the final year to produce this animated film.

The second one is called Meet Buck, this is another french animation (think i'll move over there if this keeps up) by the students of Supinfocom, in fact all three of these i have show have been done by students of former student of Supinfocom so they are defiantly doing something right :)

its another fantastic animation with an amazing art style to it.

So those are the animations that have inspired me recently......i think that they are some of the best i have seen in a while and i look forward to finding others like them :)

in other animation news, Animtion Mentor has started a new class called Animals & Creatures: Master Class and it looks fantastic, if i had the money i would do it but sadly i dont....but if you can afford it i would strongly recommend it, also they have introduced a new version of there rig Bishop to go with the new creature rigs they are releasing so its all go for Animation Mentor.
