Sadly i am no longer working on the Cerebus The Aardvark Animation, when i was animating i was coming across a load of problems with the rig that where preventing me from animating it further. If i had a better and deeper understanding of Maya there would be a chance that i would be able to fix the problem myself like i do with XSi rigs but at the moment in time i just dont know Maya well enough to do that.
So i have had to contact Oliver Simonsen (the guy running it all) and tell him that i have to sadly stop work on it, the rigger has said that there will be another version of he rig coming out with added features that have been suggested by the animators but at the moment there is little i can do.
this was going to be the thing that would set me on the tracks of working on bigger projects but now that this has happened i wonder if that will ever be the case.
i know i should keep positive and keep moving forward, taking failure and finding the positives but i just can't find any positives, i just feel that i failed myself and the team.
thats not to say im going to give up on animation, im going to start work on learning Maya and Blender so that future projects will go a load smoother.
now if your wondering why Blender, well me and Adam Lisiewicz are working on getting a company set up with Digital City as you know from past posts our interview with the board of Digital City is on Wednesday, if we get the grants and the support of them we will be using Blender so i need to learn that to a level higher then i do right now.
anyway till my next post wish me luck, i know im going to need it.
