well what a week its been.
i've had so many problems this week with my rigging, i did a really good job at my eyes on my rig using a lattice but whenever i needed to go back to the shape manager to tweak something on say the mouth i would then have to go to the eyelid again and re-lattice it to fit the eye. (what a fucking pain)
anyway i went with just shape modeling the eyelid fully instead and its worked 99.5% as good as the lattice but i would have loved to have been able to do the lattice idea.
anyway other then that i've not really done anything else. sorry
i cant remember what i had done this week and what i had done last, i know i could just go to my post from last week and read it and find otu but its 12:15am and im really not in the mood to..............oh ok give me a sec...............or 7......ok i read it guess it didn't take me that long only took me as long as it took you to read between "mood to" and "ok i read" lol
so ye i got the IK/FK arm setup done and it works 100% so YEEEEEEEEY ! !
after looking at the Pigeon Impossible podcast about using a small section of geometry for a feedback control i thought it might be nice to add it to mine and at first it worked but showed up all the time even if the IK wasn't turned on so it took me about 2 or 3 days to work out but i finally got it working so that the Feedback Geo wouldn't show unless the IK was on. come to think of it though im going to go back and change it AGAIN so that it only comes on with the IK Slider is on 100% also i think im going to work out a way of keeping the IK control attached to the bone so that when i go to IK after animating the character say 700 frames in FK i dont have to root around the scene to find the IK Ctrl hiding behind a tree or something, im sure there will be a way i just need to work it out.
to help all you guys out that might be having the same idea i'll right up how i do it, if i mange it that is.
so ye thats it i think, i'll let you know how i get on with it and i'll talk to you all soom.
laterz and keep on animating.
