well i just wanted to say THANK YOU to everything who downlaoded my rig last week, in the space of 1 week a total of 29 people have downloaded my rig to there computer that means that there are 29 computers out there with my rig on them. plus my loving girlfriend who i gave it to so that 30 in total ^_^. i didn't think that i would be feeling like this after i just made a stupid little rig for everyone.
i started the rig cos i was getting really stressed with my FYP work so i decided to make a silly rig that would get my mind off the work but still practice my skills in rigging and Box-R was the result and it makes me so happy that i have mode something that people out there are messing around with and using it in there animations.
i really look forward to people contacting me with links to the animations they have done with my character be it anything from simple jump to a basic walk cycle or a full length animation test.
this is one of the proudest moments of my life to have that rig out there for people to use and if you want to download it at all you still can through the download page to the left of this post or at creativecrash.com (formerly known as highend3d) just look for Box-R.
so ye thats my thank you to everyone who took the interest in my rig it means a lot to me that you all have downloaded it and are using it.
so back onto my main topic for today.
so i've been working on my Final Year Project as many of you know but the other day i decided to make a massive change to it, basically im now doing a completely new character animation peace, this means i have to make new characters with new rigs, the good thing is that this time since i've modeled out my character 3 times now and rigged his twice i will be able to make a better rig and better model and it will be done in a quicker time.
so i am in real need of tutorials of how to do water in XSI that has to splash and ripple, if there is anyone out there reading this what knows of a way of doing this then i would really be grateful of you getting in contact with me with the information you have.
im using XSI 6.5 at home and the Uni have XSI 7, people have said RealFlow but i really can't get my head around and plus i dont really have the time to learn a whole new software package and new interface. i did download the trial version to see if i could work it out but im lost when im using it so i really would like to do it all in XSI as i know it a lot more and understand it to a greater standard then RF.
but any help would be FANTASTIC.
so thats about it for this week guys, next week i hope to have some more stuff done like scenes and stuff that i might be able to show you all if i can get in contact with Chris and get him to give me the go ahead on this animation idea but until keep well and i'll talk to you all soon.
laterz ! ! !
