Well as many of you will know as i've pretty much shouted it from the rooftops :-) my animation for Creative Character Animation (CCA) was handed in on Wednesday, now although it was handed in late i contacted my lecturer Siobhan Fenton and she has said that i will be getting the full marks i deserve so i wont be marked down for late hand-in which is fantastic. so if you are reading this at all Siobhan thank you so very much i am extremely grateful.

as usual i uploaded my work to 11SecondClub to get critique and i had one of the nicest comments i have ever had on there from one of the administrators called Eric S, he said.....

Hey MonkeyBoy,

I think that you have made a good decision in where you placed the doctor. Especially in that last frame, I totally get the idea that your character is specifically talking to someone. Nice job!

As for the animation itself, I think your general ideas are solid. There's a lot of room for improvement, to be sure, but one of the things I like about you is that you're clearly enthusiastic about learning and experimenting and taking advice. I think that's a really strong attitude to have. It lets me know that you're well on your way to developing into a really good student and animator. (all animators are students, of course, whether you've been doing it for 6 months or 45 years).

so thank you Eric and thank you to everyone else at 11SC for the advice and help.

im going to be working on the animation again from blocking to make it stronger, but before i take on that task im working on some practice acting animations using nothing but a ball with legs so lets see how that goes.

So what else has been happening, well since that was really my last piece of work for this Semester i dont have much more to say about my work, so lets talk about personal life (yes i know its an animation blog but like i said there really isn't anything else to talk about otherwise), well me and my girlfriend went to a local restaurant last week as we usually go there get the food and take it back to hers for some movies or the mighty boosh (great show), the food is so very very nice its called The WokStop and i highly recommend it, now that might seem strange me recommending it when i tell you this but hang tight, so ye we went for some food and as i was eating it i came across a tooth pick in the food i didn't notice it straight away and it dug into the roof of my mouth, luckily i didn't bite down that hard so it didn't do anything to serious. anyway when this happened i phoned then up straight away and they told me to come back with the food and the tooth pick so when i got there they had no idea how it had happened but they gave me my next meal free (so that dinner for tomorrow ^_^) and a replacement one there and then. now this was so cool of them, i mean although it should never had happened we have been there so many times now that i have lost count and this had never happened before so it was a one in a million it happened and same odds again that it will happen again.

so ye i still highly recommend it.

so ye what else has been happening, well on Friday it was the University's Christmas Party called the Festive Fling (money goes to charity so its all good), it started at 9am and finished at 3am the next day (big drink up ^_^) and i must say it was my first time of going and my last chance as well and im kicking myself that i didn't go in the first and second year as it was SOOOOOoooooooo good. so ye we got vouchers for drinks and everything and a t-shirt that everyone signs and customize through the night which is great. Emily had a great time and im so happy she did as this was her first time, although she did start feeling a little bad close to the end of the day so i took her home to bed and she pretty much crashed instantly but as she said she has another 2 years to go and she can try and stay the whole night next time.

On Saturday me and Emily where invited to the Student Union staff party as my house mate (Dave) works there, the drinks where 50p and the bottles £1 as they where closing up for the holidays and needed to get shot of there stock before it went off.

SO that was AWESOME ! ! ! ! !

and yesterday my house mate Dave cooked a Christmas dinner for me, Emily, his girlfriend and 2 of his mates from 1st year, and i must say my god he can cook.
He made a lovely meal and although there where a couple of hiccups during the making of the meal they managed to fixed themselves.

and thats been it really other then that just been working away on my animations.

so i'll be uploading my work as soon as i do it, so that you can all see it and get my some advice.(if you want to that is) Oh and Orrie if your reading this i hope your ok its been ages since we where in contact.
